What is your Major?

History

Do you have any hobbies or personal interests outside of school?

I am an avid reader of historical fiction and an amateur writer. So far I have written two unpublished novels. I am also a gamer as well, ranging from video games to board games.

What do you enjoy most about tutoring?

Meeting new people and helping others.

Why did you want to become a tutor?

As a person who has been tutored, I wanted to give back and help others.

Do you have a favorite assignment or topic to tutor?

Research or anything to do with writing.

Did you have a favorite cartoon growing up? Favorite hobby growing up?

I have many favorite cartoons growing up. The one that sticks out the most is Ed Edd n Eddy. As for hobbies, I wanted to be an illustrator since I loved to draw. As I got older, that shifted toward creative writing.

And finally, the most important question, is cereal a soup or a broth, or something else entirely?

Cereal is neither. It is cereal.

What is the one thing you learned/gained as a tutor that you will carry with you into your future?

Working with different skill levels and learning new ways to assist others with their academic ventures. I feel that I have grown not just as a student but a person as well.

What advice would you give to new tutors?

Always listen and learn from different tutors. Find what works and what doesn’t. No two tutees are the same.

What will you miss about SF State?

Everything. My friends, my clubs, the campus, etc.

Plans after you graduate?

Look for a job. Finished my third book. Get published. Get my license.
